June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month, when lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer come together to celebrate, uplift and advocate for their rights and voices, taking its roots from the Stonewall uprising in June 1969.
Miami is not short of celebrations, and this year, a number of hotels, restaurants and bars are, in addition, donating to local non-profit organizations that further support, educate and empower South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community.
Here’s a list of places where you can celebrate and support:
For each order of this month’s featured cocktail, 1 Love, made with Absolute Elyx, lychee, Lillet Rouge, Flor Rosé prosseco and St. Germain Elderflower— 25% of proceeds will be donated to Miami Beach Pride. It is available at all of the hotel’s F&B outlets: Drift, Watr, Habitat, Beach Club and Sandbox.
Additionally, for all room stays during the month, a $10 donation per stay will also go towards the organization. Upon check-in, hotel guests will receive a “Love is Love” wristband.
The sole Miami bar on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2022 list, Cafe La Trova’s back bar, 80’s 305 Bar, will feature two special cocktails with 100% of the proceeds going towards Pridelines.
