Visits to Yosemite, Acadia, Yellowstone, or any of America’s 63 majestic National Parks are top destinations for travelers around the globe. But as anyone who’s ever planned a trip to these perpetually-popular national treasures knows, booking lodging in or around them can be a frustrating endeavor since hotels are limited, and often book up a full year in advance.
Thankfully, travelers who are planning a visit to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks now have a new option in Moab, Utah that’s ideally situated at the basin of both parks. And it’s not your average hotel: The Moab Resort, a WorldMark by Wyndham Associate Resort, which opened this May, features 150 apartment-style suites.
That means that instead of squeezing the family into a cramped hotel room with no room to sprawl out, travelers can book one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom suites that comfortably sleep up to ten guests. All come complete with partial or full kitchens, separate living/dining areas, washer/dryers, fireplaces, and balconies. There’s also the option to upgrade to a luxe Presidential Suite, which boasts a palatial modern kitchen, sleek double-sided fireplace, and foosball table — along with jaw-dropping views.
In addition to amenities like an infinity swimming pool, hot tubs, splash pads, game room, and activities center, the millennial pink-hued resort also touts more unusual perks like high-end grills and fire pits spread throughout the property for guest use. (Which means that instead of eating out every single meal – which can really eat away at a family’s vacation budget – guests have the option to grill up burgers or roast s’mores while taking in spectacular views of Utah’s natural beauty.)
Set along the pristine Colorado River basin, the resort boasts panoramic views of the iconic red rock landscape from its contemporary guest rooms, infinity pool, and restaurants. And since it’s less than 5 miles away from Arches, and less than 30 miles from Canyonlands, the location is ideal for exploring this pair of bucket-list national parks.
But there’s no need for guests to bog themselves down with dozens of guide books and trail maps. As a perk for outdoor adventurers, WorldMark by Wyndham recently partnered with national parks expert Ash Nudd to introduce a complimentary dedicated hiking concierge program at select resorts located near national parks, including The Moab Resort. When guests book a stay at one of the participating properties, they’ll receive a personalized video from Nudd – a former park ranger and creator of thehiking blog Dirt In My Shoes. Along with her tips, they’ll also get exclusive access to Ash’s detailed, expert itineraries designed to help them navigate their park destinations like a pro.
In addition to The Moab Resort near Arches, four other WorldMark properties near National Parks are currently offering the new dedicated Hiking Concierge program: Angels Camp (located near Yosemite), Yellowstone (near Yellowstone National Park, St. George (close to Zion), and Granby – Rocky Mountain Preserve (near Rocky Mountain National Park).
Travelers can book their WorldMark by Wyndham stay and learn more about the Hiking Concierge program here. Bookings must be made by December 31, 2022, and travel must take place by March 31, 2023. A two-night minimum length of stay is required. Mention promo code Hike22 during booking.
