With warmer days fast approaching, the waning days of spring are an ideal time to escape for a long spa weekend. From California’s wine country to Arizona’s saguaro-studded hills, and out to the majestic Colorado Rockies and beyond, below, we’re sharing a sampling of wellness retreats offering guests a chance to reboot and rejuvenate with new programming and special events; and just in time before the bustling summer vacation flocks descend.

Miraval Resort & Spa: Tucson, AZ

Nestled in the confines of the Sonoran Desert, Miraval Resorts remains a special spot to experience the brand’s Oprah-endorsed equine program. You’ll also discover the brand’s East-meets-West Life in Balance Spa whose menu offers reiki, Thai massage, acupuncture, prickly pear body scrubs and a bespoke facial from organic skincare line Laurel. Healthy eating (i.e., vegan tostadas; grass-fed beef tenderloin) headline a rotating menu; alongside daily workshops, classes and activities (don’t miss the early morning hike). In June, author Cyndie Spiegel will host a Microjoys Weekend; and through August, opt in for Celestial Summer whose lineup features lunar rituals, campfires and tarot readings.

Meadowood: Napa Valley, CA

Long a spot for travelers looking to mix the wine country with wellness and relaxation, Meadowood is also renowned for its spa, which recently introduced a revamped treatment menu including a hydrodermabrasion facial, CBD massages, reiki and sound therapy. Book The Treehouse Suite, where a bespoke bath experience offers a partially-exposed view of serene wooded grounds — as you rest inside a hand-hammered copper tub (filled with either mustard, milk or an oligomer sea salt). There’s also fitness offerings a la tennis and golf with skilled pros; alongside a daily lineup of Pilates, barre, HIIT, yoga and swimming in one of the resort’s three pools. A morning hike on the property’s on-site trails is a lovely way to start the day.

Solage Resort & Spa: Calistoga CA

It’s no secret that Calistoga is the land of mud and mineral water therapies. Known for their healing properties —spa-goers have long sought the area’s geothermal pools to help soothe muscle and joint aches. The Spa offers a modern spin with private soaking tubs and a blend of customized mud and pure essential oils. You can also sink into anti-gravity sound chairs, tap into seasonal spa treatments and enjoy a Yoga & Movement Studio with complimentary daily fitness classes. Later, lounge around the pool or hit one of the two new pickleball courts (with rosé sips compliments of Drink Juliet sustainable wine). Detox, retox, and repeat.

Inn of The Five Graces: Santa Fe, NM

Nestled in downtown Santa Fe, this iconic inn blends a surprisingly colorful mesh of Central and Southeast Asian art-and-textiles. With five treatment rooms, the spa features original adobe walls, mosaic-tiled skylights, kiva fireplaces and carved wooden panels. Eastern Ayurvedic-inspired body work includes a 75-minute Himalayan salt stone massage and a hydration facial, inspired by Japanese Kobido techniques to soften wrinkles, invigorate skin tone and as its name suggests, hydrate the skin (afterall, you’re in the high desert). This month, a new soaking pool and sun-and-moon deck kitted with intricate Roman mosaic panels is ideal for stargazing.

Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, NY

Urban zen seekers and weary city slickers can now tap into The Collective, the Four Seasons newly-unveiled program in Lower Manhattan hosting an innovative—and mostly-female roster of “resident healers.” Known for a its spiritual and energy-based healing modalities, you can try a hypnotism session with Nicole Hernandez, crystal energy healing with Rashia Bell and later, tap into astrology with Rebecca Gordon. The Spa also recently debuted a series of Next Health IV drips; and upgrade NAD Therapy and IV Therapy experiences. Additionally, the hotel remains the sole Manhattan address performing exclusive London-based 111 Skin facial treatment like the de-puffing Cyro Facial for the jet-lagged traveler.

Dunton Hot Springs, Dolores, CO

Set in the Colorado Rockies San Juan Mountains, Dolores, CO is also famed for the area’s hot springs. This namesake Relais & Chateaux hotel, with only 13-rooms, offers a charming log cabin spa with a variety of treatments including a detoxifying Rasayana Body Regeneration Massage (think herbal powders, rose water, and aroma oils) and facials using Ayurvedic Marama point ritual. Sound baths, meditation, movement training and yoga classes round out the offerings— while surroudning mountain and meadow views are complimentary.

The Peninsula Chicago

The Windy City might be known for it’s friendly, laid-back Midwestern ways and deep dish pizza, but there’s room for rest and relaxation too. Just last year, the Peninsula brand introduced their Life Lived Best; an immersive program covering mental, physical and nutrition. You can also find bespoke treatments —buff away dull skin with a Subtle Energies Exfoliation using body salts; or opt for a massage using the spa’s newly-tapped luxury CBD brand ANTARA. Meanwhile, a half-day retreat commences with a Signature Massage, followed by a Healthy Glow facial (think hydration) compliments of cult Paris-brand Biologique Recherche, and followed by a classic manicure and pedicure. Voilà — you’ve just transformed your look for summertime.

The Ranch: Malibu, CA

Beloved for its immersive, highly-regimented fitness activities, many of which take place outdoors, the Ranch Malibu also includes a bevy of delicious locally-grown foods, open-air relaxation and yoga that takes place in a barn. Want to experience things on the road? This fall, the brand (which recently celebrated it’s first anniversary in the Italian countryside) will debut a Vail pop-up at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch (September 3rd – October 27th) and include 4-hour morning mountain hikes, core training classes, restorative yoga and a daily massage.

Canyon Ranch: Lenox, MA

Set in the heart of the Berkshires, Canyon Ranch’s venerable, all-inclusive resort houses a range of treatments from Eastern-inspired practices from crainoscral therapy to hot stone massage and a specialized VENN Collagen Facial. Aside from the state-of-the-art fitness center, you’re able to hike and paddle through the lush, picturesque Massachusetts countryside. And, in the upcoming months, the ranch will offer several immersions to help eradicate burnout, build muscle and even learn how to master sleep with an expert (there are also acupuncture and 80-minute massages included).
