Midtown Manhattan’s Nordstrom is stacking up to be one of the most delicious department stores in the city. As of Wednesday, July 6, Nordstrom’s New York City flagship is now home to Burger Bar, the first Nordstrom burger spot of its kind, exclusive to this location.
Located on Lower Level 2, Burger Bar was modeled to offer a mid-shopping bite or post-spree takeout portable to nearby Central Park.
The “Build Your Burger” menu offers a twist on traditional burger joint options. Guests can choose from six different hand-pressed patties (beef, chicken, lamb, blended shroom and the 100% plant-based Beyond Burger or chickpea veggie), to be cooked to their liking. Then, the menu offers various preparation styles like The Classic (American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, garlic dill pickle, house sauce), The Jammin’ Jalapeño (5 alarm island jerk seasoning, brie cheese, garlic aioli, tomato jalapeño bacon jam, arugula), Mushroom Truffle (gruyére cheese, truffle aïoli, caramelized onion, arugula), a rotating seasonal option, and more. Optional add-ons include avocado, fried egg, bacon or an upgrade to a King’s Hawaiian Roll.
Burgers start at $10 and can be upgraded to combo meals including includes salt & pepper crush fries with chili lime aioli, house sauce, hand pressed patty and a bottled or canned beverage for $18 and up. Fries can also be upgraded to truffle parmesan or Cajun sweet potato fries.
Naturally, hand-spun shakes topped with fresh whipped cream on the menu, is as a selection of wine and beer.
Nordstrom Burger Bar adds a more casual option to the store’s culinary lineup, which also includes fine dining restaurant Wolf; the pizza and pasta spot Jeanie’s; Nordstrom’s signature eatery, Bistro Verde; plus the New York exclusive Broadway Bar, the shoe department’s well heeled Shoe Bar and Clubhouse Bar. A Milk Bar outpost and coffee bar also offer quick refreshments at the shop on 57th and Broadway.
