The next time you fly through Austin, Texas, visit the newest airport lounge. The Chase Sapphire Terrace opened on March 20, 2023, at the Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Located in the main terminal, near Gate 1, here’s how you can get in.
What Is The Chase Sapphire Terrace?
As you may have guessed by reading the name, the Chase Sapphire Terrace is a bit different regarding airport lounges. This lounge has an indoor and outdoor space with some of the amenities of a regular lounge.
Guests can enjoy complimentary drinks, including local alcoholic selections, and food that can be taken and eaten on the go. While plane-spotting, guests can also take in the artwork, participate in giveaways and even enjoy a game of shuffleboard.
How To Get In
Unfortunately, only Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders can access the lounge. It is free for cardholders and up to two guests to enter. The lounge is open from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., with a limit of three hours per visit. There are no limits to how many times cardholders can visit, but it must be within three hours of departure of your flight.
Summary
The Chase Sapphire Terrace in Austin can be a great way to get some sun and fresh air before a flight. However, as it is part outdoors, you’ll be subject to the elements. Additionally, you won’t have access should you have an early morning or late night flight.
